Established in 2007, the Ocean State Animal Coalition (OSAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the status and well-being of animals in Rhode Island.
Consistent with its mission, in July 2010 OSAC opened The Rhode Island Community Spay/Neuter Clinic (RICSNC), a high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats. Through the clinic, OSAC is working to reduce the homeless, abandoned and feral animal populations. We are committed to reducing the number of animals entering shelters and eliminating the need for euthanasia as a means of population control.
In addition to owning RICSNC, OSAC actively supports and promotes initiatives in many areas we believe will provide significant improvements in animal welfare, including humane education, proactive animal care, and legislation. Please see our News and Events for updates on our current projects.
Welcome to the Ocean State Animal Coalition
The Ocean State Animal Coalition represents a new movement in animal welfare: organizations coming together to work collaboratively on behalf of Rhode Island’s animals. Our Board is comprised of leaders from some of the most respected animal welfare groups serving Rhode Island, reflecting the needs and views of shelters, rescue groups, humane education and animal control. We believe that working together, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support, we can accomplish more than working independently. And, we are confident that collaboration benefits both the animals and the people who care for them.
We welcome your inquiries and suggestions and invite you to support our mission. If you would like to volunteer or make a donation, please call or email us.
We look forward to sharing more of our successes with you!
